Adjacent to JR Takamatsu Station, this is the redevelopment area of Takamatsu Port. This waterfront district, home to the Takamatsu Symbol Tower and one of Shikoku's largest hall buildings, is also one of the main viewing areas for tonight's fireworks. In the evening, the Seto Inland Sea offers a beautiful view where the orange-tinted sky overlaps with the silhouettes of the islands. Once you've spread a leisure sheet along the waterfront or on the lawn to secure your spot, it's dinnertime with nearby food stalls or food you've brought along. Waiting for the show to start while enjoying the sea breeze is one of the pleasures of the fireworks festival. Since crowds grow as the sun sets, claiming your spot a bit early is the golden rule.

Tips

From Ritsurin Garden, take the Kotoden railway or a local bus toward JR Takamatsu Station and Sunport. On the day of the fireworks, viewing spots start filling up from around 5 PM. It's reassuring to buy drinks and snacks at a convenience store or around the station before this time. Check the locations of nearby restrooms in advance. Traffic restrictions may be in effect around Mizushiro-dori on the day, so travel by public transportation or on foot.
