About this spot

This sandy swimming beach adjoins Tsuda no Matsubara and is also the very beach that serves as the viewing venue for tonight's fireworks. The calm waves and shallow, gently sloping sand typical of the Seto Inland Sea stretch out here, and locals cherish it as a summer sea that children and adults alike can enjoy safely. Islands dot the horizon beyond, offering the kind of gentle, intimate seascape unique to the Seto Inland Sea, on a different scale from the Pacific coast. Standing on the beach during the day to check the direction of the sea will make it easier to choose a spot for viewing the fireworks at night. Move back and forth between the shade of the pine grove and the sunny beach to fully enjoy the summer sea.

Tips

There are several access points from the pine grove's promenade to the beach. In summer, the sand can get very hot underfoot, so it is recommended to keep your sandals on when stepping onto the beach. Vending machines for drinking water are set up in the area, but on hot days it is reassuring to bring extra beforehand. If you plan to swim, check the location of the changing facilities in advance.

About 1 hour 10 minutes. Early afternoon is relatively uncrowded, so you can walk freely around the beach
