A roadside station standing along the coast near Muroto City, equipped with a restaurant and product hall serving as a tourist hub for Muroto. The restaurant offers set meals and rice bowls made with bonito and local seafood caught off the Muroto coast, and local specialties such as "birou domburi" (びろうど丼) are also popular. The product hall carries Kochi specialties and processed marine products from Muroto, offering the pleasure of losing track of time choosing souvenirs. On the fireworks festival day, it often becomes crowded from late afternoon onward, so it is a wise choice to complete your meal and shopping during this time slot.

2026年8月22日(土)20時打ち上げ開始、室戸花火大会のクライマックスです。海の駅とろむの目の前の太平洋に約4,000発の花火が打ち上がり、水平線まで広がる開けた海を舞台に、山や川の花火大会とは比べものにならない開放感の中で大輪の光が次々と開きます。波の音とともに伝わる打ち上げの轟音と、海面に映り込む花火の反射が、この場所でしか味わえない特別な体験を作り出します。30分のプログラムはコンパクトながら密度が高く、フィナーレの連発は黒潮の海を一瞬昼のように照らします。

Tips

荒天時の開催可否は室戸市の公式発表で事前に確認してください。終了後は駐車場から一斉に車が出るため、フィナーレ後は会場でしばらく余韻を楽しんでから移動を始めると渋滞に巻き込まれにくくなります。足元が暗くなるため、スマホのライトを活用して安全に移動しましょう。

Tips

Located along National Route 55 with a spacious parking lot, many visitors stop by even on the day of the fireworks. The restaurant may become crowded during the lunch rush, so visiting after 2:30 PM may result in slightly shorter waiting times. Umi no Eki Toromu at the fireworks venue is about 5 to 10 minutes away by car.
