About this spot

The Umi no Eki Toromu (海の駅とろむ), standing along the coast of Muroto City, is the launch venue for the 2026 Muroto Fireworks Festival. The open plaza facing the Pacific Ocean and the space along the coastline serve as viewing areas, offering a blessed location where you can enjoy the fireworks bursting from the sea in front with nothing obstructing the view. In the evening, you can also see a large sunset sinking into the horizon from this premium seat, and the time from sunset to the start of fireworks never becomes dull. The food stalls and refreshment stands lined up in the evening venue also enhance the festive summer fair atmosphere before the fireworks.

2026年8月22日(土)20時打ち上げ開始、室戸花火大会のクライマックスです。海の駅とろむの目の前の太平洋に約4,000発の花火が打ち上がり、水平線まで広がる開けた海を舞台に、山や川の花火大会とは比べものにならない開放感の中で大輪の光が次々と開きます。波の音とともに伝わる打ち上げの轟音と、海面に映り込む花火の反射が、この場所でしか味わえない特別な体験を作り出します。30分のプログラムはコンパクトながら密度が高く、フィナーレの連発は黒潮の海を一瞬昼のように照らします。

Tips

荒天時の開催可否は室戸市の公式発表で事前に確認してください。終了後は駐車場から一斉に車が出るため、フィナーレ後は会場でしばらく余韻を楽しんでから移動を始めると渋滞に巻き込まれにくくなります。足元が暗くなるため、スマホのライトを活用して安全に移動しましょう。

Tips

On fireworks day, many visitors arrive, so securing a spot early is essential. Arriving between 4:30 PM and 5 PM allows you to claim a seat with relative ease. Check the locations of restrooms early. Food and drinks from stalls are limited in quantity, so it is recommended to bring items purchased at the roadside station as a supplement.
