About this spot

Spreading out at the foot of Yonago Castle Ruins, Minatoyama Park is a green community park facing Lake Nakaumi and Yonago Port. You can relax in the sea breeze while sensing the history of Yonago, which once flourished as one of the San'in region's leading ports. A walking path within the park lets you stroll along with Lake Nakaumi close at hand. The Yonago Port quay, tonight's fireworks venue, is just nearby, so checking the layout and routes during the day will make claiming a spot at night go more smoothly. Rest on a shaded bench and enjoy the afternoon expression of Lake Nakaumi.

Tips

About a 5-minute walk directly from Yonago Castle Ruins. Restrooms are available in the park. On the day of the fireworks, this area also gets crowded with spectators from evening onward, so it is a good idea to get a feel for the place during the day.

Best time to visit

About 55 minutes. The midday sea breeze is pleasant, making this an ideal short break before heading to your next destination.
