Located right next to Tottori Sand Dunes, this is a rare museum specializing in sand sculpture exhibitions. Changing its theme annually, it displays massive works created entirely of real sand by sand sculptors invited from around the world. Both adults and children are amazed by the precision of expression achieved with sand, and looking closely at the intricate details takes your breath away. With air conditioning throughout the indoor space, it's a perfect resting spot after walking on the sun-exposed dunes. You can also take a break at the museum's café.

鳥取砂丘こどもの国 夏まつりのフィナーレを飾る花火大会で、2026年8月23日(日)20時から打ち上げが始まります。鳥取砂丘に隣接した広大な公園から見上げる花火は、周囲に高い建物がなく視界が開けているため、空の広さをめいっぱい使った花火の大輪が楽しめます。夏まつりの屋台の賑わいが続く中、子どもから大人まで歓声をあげながら見上げる花火は、鳥取の夏の風物詩です。海に近い砂丘のそばという立地ならではの、潮風とともに楽しむ花火の時間は夏の忘れられない思い出になります。
Tips
開催可否は荒天時など状況により変わる場合があるため、当日は主催者の公式発表を確認してください。終了後は駐車場から出る車で周辺道路が混雑しやすいため、終了後すぐに移動するより少し余韻を楽しんでから帰るとスムーズです。帰路は足元が暗くなるためスマートフォンのライトを活用してください。

On the day of the fireworks festival, expect larger crowds, so visiting during earlier hours is recommended.
