An observation deck built at the 107-meter summit of Shiroyama Mountain, representing a signature viewpoint of Kagoshima City. Kagoshima's cityscape spreads out directly below, with Kinkowan Bay beyond and the majestic Sakurajima Island commanding the view. You can also see the direction of Kagoshima Port Main Harbor District where fireworks will launch tonight, perfect for visualizing your viewing location. Admission is free and you can stop by easily. As dusk approaches, the changing colors of the sky and sea offer another attraction. Shiroyama is also known as the site of the end of the Satsuma Rebellion, and a brief walk through the greenery around the mountain summit is worthwhile.

かごしま錦江湾サマーナイト大花火大会は、鹿児島市の夏を締めくくる大規模な花火大会です。錦江湾の水面越しに桜島を背景として打ち上がる約15,000発は、他の花火大会にはない雄大なスケールを誇ります。港から打ち上がる花火が錦江湾の海面に映える様子と、夜の桜島のシルエットとのコントラストは、まさに鹿児島ならではの絶景です。2026年8月29日(土)19時30分から20時30分まで、約1時間にわたって打ち上げられる花火の連続は、南九州の夏の夜を彩るクライマックスです。フィナーレの大連発が錦江湾を照らし出す瞬間は、この1日の旅の最高のしめくくりになります。

Tips

荒天・気象状況によって中止・延期となる場合があるため、当日の開催可否は鹿児島市または大会公式の発表で必ず確認してください。終了後は鹿児島中央駅方面のバス・市電が大混雑します。花火終了後はその場でしばらく余韻を楽しんでから時間差で移動するか、徒歩圏内の市電停留所を複数確認しておくと帰路が楽になります。

Tips

Approximately 20 minutes by bus or on foot from Tenmonkan Station; also served by the Kagoshima City View bus. The observatory is free. Since roads near the summit are one-way, public transportation is convenient. Afterward, travel to Kagoshima Port Main Harbor District by city tram or bus.
