About this spot

A roadside station facing Miyazu Bay (宮津湾), lined with locally caught fresh fish, vegetables and specialty products of Miyazu (宮津). Inside there are cafeterias and shops serving set meals made with seafood, and it is only a few minutes by car from Amanohashidate View Land (天橋立ビューランド), making it easy to stop by. The souvenir corner is well stocked, so it is also handy to finish your shopping before sea bathing. Fuel up properly here and get ready for the afternoon swim.

Tips

About 5 minutes by car from Amanohashidate View Land (天橋立ビューランド). It gets crowded at lunchtime on weekends and during the summer holidays, so arriving early in the noon hour is recommended. The building is air-conditioned, making it suitable as a heat-relief break before heading to the sea.
