About this spot

Hamatsumeuyukihigaura Beach is one of Kyotango City's representative beaches. In 2026, it will be open from July 18 (Saturday) to August 16 (Sunday), with swimming hours from 9 AM to 5 PM. The beach is characterized by crystal-clear waters and wide sandy shores, with facilities including showers (fresh water free, hot water available for a fee), restrooms, changing rooms, 3 beach shops, and a BBQ area—making it perfect for families spending the whole day. Swimming is free, and parking for regular cars costs ¥2,000 per day. True to its name, the sea at Sunset Beach maintains beautiful azure colors even in afternoon sunlight, and whether you enjoy water play at the water's edge or swim further out, you can experience summer in your own style.
