A small JR Sanin Main Line station located near the mouth of the Yura River, where the wooden station building and peaceful atmosphere of the home platform remain intact—a delightful spot for railway enthusiasts. From the platform, you can see across to the Yura River and the landscape stretching toward Wakasa Bay, with trains passing by at close range. The quiet passage of time unique to an unmanned station is also appealing, and its modest size makes it perfect for an early-morning stroll. It's an ideal warm-up before swimming, so take a leisurely walk around the station area.

京都府舞鶴市の由良川河口近く、若狭湾に面した海水浴場で、2026年は7月1日(水)から8月31日(月)まで開設されます。遊泳は無料で、波が穏やかで遠浅な砂浜は小さな子ども連れでも安心して楽しめます。トイレと冷水シャワーは無料で利用でき、浜茶屋では有料の温水シャワーも用意されているので、砂を落としてから帰る際に便利です。駐車場は約1,500台分と広く用意されており、繁忙期でも比較的停めやすいのがうれしいポイント。リアス式海岸に囲まれた若狭湾の美しい景色を眺めながら、夕方までゆっくり海遊びを満喫できます。
Tips

There is a small parking space in front of the station, but the number of spaces is limited, so arriving early is recommended. When entering the platform, pay careful attention to passing trains.
