An iron bridge on the JR Sanin Main Line spanning the mouth of the Yura River where it flows into Wakasa Bay, known as a photography spot offering the rare sight of a train crossing right beside the sea. The bridge has been featured as a film location and offers a view so captivating that even non-railroad enthusiasts will want to snap a photo. From the beach at the base of the bridge, you can also see the horizon of Wakasa Bay stretching out, building anticipation for the upcoming Kanzaki Beach. Visiting at the time of train passage will allow for even more dramatic photographs.

京都府舞鶴市の由良川河口近く、若狭湾に面した海水浴場で、2026年は7月1日(水)から8月31日(月)まで開設されます。遊泳は無料で、波が穏やかで遠浅な砂浜は小さな子ども連れでも安心して楽しめます。トイレと冷水シャワーは無料で利用でき、浜茶屋では有料の温水シャワーも用意されているので、砂を落としてから帰る際に便利です。駐車場は約1,500台分と広く用意されており、繁忙期でも比較的停めやすいのがうれしいポイント。リアス式海岸に囲まれた若狭湾の美しい景色を眺めながら、夕方までゆっくり海遊びを満喫できます。

Tips

Tips

You can view it from the road along the river mouth, but due to traffic, small children should hold hands while walking. The footing can be slippery in places, so sturdy shoes are safer than sandals.
