About this spot

Mimurodo-ji (三室戸寺) is an ancient temple known as the Temple of Flowers, where plants color the garden in the grounds throughout the four seasons. In summer the peak hydrangea season has passed, but the lush approach and the calm bearing of the main hall are as appealing as ever. From the top of the stone steps you can look out over the townscape of Uji (宇治), and the family can pray while getting a little exercise. The grounds are spacious with plenty of tree shade, so the walk stays relatively cool even in midsummer.

京都府立山城総合運動公園内にある屋外レジャープールで、2026年は7月15日(水)から8月31日(月)まで営業します。遊泳・トレーニングプールに加え、渓流のような流れを再現した子供プールや迫力の造波プールがあり、小さな子から大人まで水遊びを満喫できます。目玉は全長77mのウォーターボブスレーと12mのスライダーで、どちらも事前予約制のため入場後すぐに受付方法を確認しておくと安心です。緑豊かな総合運動公園の敷地内にあるため木陰の休憩スペースも多く、真夏でも過ごしやすいのが魅力です。京都府民は入場料の割引があるので、お住まいの方は当日窓口で確認しましょう。夕方まで開いているので、午前中に周辺を回ってからたっぷり水遊びの時間を確保できます。

Tips

営業時間は9:00〜17:00で、遊泳は16:30まで、最終入場は16:00です。入場料は大人1,020円・高校生710円・小中学生450円・幼児100円で、京都府民は割引があります。ウォーターボブスレーとスライダーは事前予約制なので、入場後すぐに予約方法を確認しておくとスムーズです。

Tips

There are stone steps in the grounds, so getting around with a stroller is a little unsuitable. Going out in easy-to-walk shoes is recommended. Keeping the visit to about 30 to 45 minutes leaves room for the midday move.
