Affectionately known as "Uontana," this is Akashi's kitchen dating back to the Edo period. The arcade street is lined with fresh fish shops and Akashi-yaki (takoyaki) and octopus restaurants, allowing you to enjoy Akashi's distinctive flavors while food-hopping. It's perfect for lunch before the beach, with plenty of kid-friendly menu options like fried octopus and Akashi-yaki. After satisfying your appetite while shopping, head to the sea for the afternoon.

明石市の海水浴場で、2026年は7月18日(土)から8月30日(日)まで、8時30分から17時30分の時間で開設されます。遊泳は無料で、更衣室・シャワー・トイレ・売店・救護所に加えてベビールームも備わり、小さな子ども連れでも安心して過ごせるのが魅力です。シャワーは1分100円、ロッカーは1回300円で利用でき、海水浴に必要な設備が一通りそろっています。明石海峡大橋を望む開放的な景色の中、波打ち際の水遊びから砂のお城づくりまで、夕方まで思いきり夏を満喫しましょう。

Tips

遊泳は無料ですが、シャワーとロッカーは有料なので小銭を用意しておくと安心です。夏の砂浜は熱いのでビーチサンダル必携。営業終了は17時30分なので、着替えの時間も見込んで15分前には切り上げるのがおすすめです。

Tips

About 5 minutes walk from JR or Sanyo Akashi Station. It gets crowded around lunchtime, so arriving early around 12 PM goes more smoothly. It's also convenient for restocking drinks and snacks to bring to the beach.
