About this spot

Akashi City's beach, which in 2026 will be open from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM from July 18 (Saturday) through August 30 (Sunday). Swimming is free, and with changing rooms, showers, restrooms, a shop, first-aid station, and even a baby room, it's reassuring for small children. Showers cost ¥100 per minute and lockers ¥300 per use, providing all the facilities needed for a beach day. Against the backdrop of the open vista overlooking the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, enjoy water play at the shoreline and sandcastle building from afternoon until evening—make the most of an Akashi summer day.

Tips

Swimming is free, but showers and lockers are paid, so it's good to have small change on hand. Summer sand gets hot, so beach sandals are essential. Closing time is 5:30 PM, so it's recommended to wrap up about 15 minutes before to allow time for changing.

Best time to visit

From mid-afternoon onward, the sunlight softens somewhat, making it an ideal time to swim fully until evening.
