Along Kinosaki Onsen's main street, restaurants serving seafood landed from the Sea of Japan line up one after another. In summer, many shops offer family-friendly menus such as rice bowls topped with local fish, making them a perfect stop to fill up between bathhouse visits. Since swimming is planned for the afternoon, be careful not to overeat while still getting a solid energy boost. After lunch, it's time to head off toward Takeno Beach.

Tips

Some restaurants get crowded around lunchtime, so allow yourself plenty of time before heading in. Since you'll be swimming later, choosing an easily digestible menu will make it easier to move around in the afternoon. Adjust your departure time keeping in mind that it takes about 20 minutes by car to reach Takeno Beach.
