About this spot

A lake about 1 km around in the center of Togane City (東金市), with a walking path laid out all the way around the shore. The quiet waterside surrounded by greenery is a perfect walking spot for taking a breather before heading out to the sea. It is known as a cherry blossom spot, but in summer there is also plenty of tree shade, so it stays cool, which is its appeal. Hydrate at the lakeside pavilions and benches and get your energy in order for the afternoon swim.

Tips

About 10 minutes by car from Minori no Sato Togane Roadside Station (道の駅みのりの郷東金). A full loop takes only 20 to 30 minutes on foot, just the right distance for a leisurely walk with small children.

Best time to visit

About 45 minutes. During hours of strong sun, walking on the lakeside with more tree shade is recommended
