Visit Tenmangu Shrine Known for Exam-Passing Prayers

A Tenmangu shrine in the Gakumonji district of Hashimoto City that enshrines Sugawara Michizane, revered as the deity of learning. The place name "Gakumonji" (学文路) and the Nankai Koya Line station "Gakumonji Station" (学文路駅) are known as auspicious symbols among exam-takers, and many families visit this shrine to pray for exam success. Within the shrine grounds, there is a "touching ox" (なで牛) believed to bring good fortune when touched, perfect for a child to join hands with. The stone steps of the approach path, surrounded by trees, are pleasant to walk on during the cool morning hours and serve as a nice warm-up before heading to the pool.

橋本市のサカイキャニングスポーツパーク(橋本市運動公園)内にある屋外レジャープールで、2026年は7月11日(土)から9月6日(日)まで営業します。営業時間は10:00〜17:00(土日祝は9:30〜17:00)で、期間中には休場日が設けられています。50mプールでしっかり泳げるほか、流水プールでのんびり流されたり、スライダーで盛り上がったりと、年齢を問わず楽しめる構成です。更衣室・シャワー・ロッカーに加えて軽食が買える売店もあり、手ぶらに近い装備でも安心して1日過ごせます。幼児は無料で利用できるため、小さな子ども連れの家族にもうれしいプールです。

Tips

料金は橋本市内在住者と市外在住者で異なり、市内は大人900円・小中学生450円、市外は大人1,300円・小中学生650円です(幼児は無料)。期間中に休場日があるため、訪問前に最新の開場カレンダーを公式サイトで確認しておくと安心です。昼食は売店の軽食で済ませるか、午前中に周辺で調達しておくとスムーズに入場できます。
