The head temple of the Ritsu sect founded by the eminent Tang priest Ganjin Wajo during the Nara period, this ancient temple is also registered as a World Heritage site. Architecture from the Nara period, such as the Golden Hall and Lecture Hall, remains to this day, and simply walking the quiet grounds allows you to feel the weight of history. The spacious grounds have many trees, providing shaded areas even in summer—another attractive feature. It's the perfect spot to stop by and enjoy a calm time before heading to the pool.

2026年は7月18日(土)から8月31日(月)まで営業する、大和郡山市のまほろば健康パーク内にある屋外レジャープール「スイムピア奈良」です。園内をぐるりと巡る流れるプールに加え、勢いよく滑り降りる流水スライダーが2基そろい、小学生から大人まで水しぶきを上げて楽しめます。小さな子には浅い幼児用プールやバケツプール、噴水エリアが用意されており、水に慣れていない子でも安心して遊べます。売店で軽食も調達できるので、昼から夕方まで一日中プールサイドで過ごせるのも魅力です。

Tips

入場料は大人860円・小人420円(3歳以下無料)。開門は土日祝が7時45分、平日は8時ですが、営業は9時から16時30分まで(閉場17時)なので、時間に余裕を持って行動しましょう。混雑する夏休みの週末は午前中の入場が狙い目です。
