A white lighthouse standing on a high point of Ajima Island with expansive views over the Pacific Ocean. After landing by ferry from Ayukawa Port, it's the perfect first stop to touch the island's atmosphere. The lighthouse area is surrounded by trees, and the sea breeze blows pleasantly even in summer. From here, you can often see Ajima Shirahama Beach in the distance, making this a spot where you can feel the island's sea with all five senses.

石巻市の網地島にある海水浴場で、2026年は7月25日(土)から8月23日(日)まで開設されます。遊泳時間は9時から15時30分まで(12時から13時は休憩時間)。遠浅で波の穏やかな砂浜が広がり、シャワーや更衣室、トイレも整っているので、小さな子ども連れでも安心して過ごせます。フェリーでしか渡れない島の海だからこその静けさがあり、混雑を気にせずのびのびと水遊びができるのも魅力です。遊泳は無料なので、身軽に出かけて島の夏を満喫しましょう。
Tips
遊泳は無料ですが、シャワーや更衣室の利用には料金がかかる場合があります。遊泳時間は15時30分までなので、帰りのフェリーの時間から逆算して切り上げどきを決めましょう。12時から13時は休憩時間のため遊泳できません。
Tips
Accessible on foot from Ajima Island Port, but there are slopes, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended. The sun is strong, so don't forget a hat and water.
Best time to visit
Takes about 30 minutes. Stopping by right after landing keeps the day's flow smooth.
