About this spot

Ajishima (網地島) has another beautiful beach, Nagato-hama (長渡浜). It has a quiet cove atmosphere different from Ajishirahama, and is a beach where you can enjoy tide-pooling and shell collecting. It's within walking distance of Ajishima Lighthouse (網地島灯台), making it a perfect spot for a break before heading to the main swimming beach. With fewer people and a quiet flow of time, you can experience the island's own relaxed atmosphere.

Tips

Within walking distance of Ajishima Lighthouse (網地島灯台). Since the ground includes some rocky areas, comfortable walking shoes are more reassuring than sandals. The main swimming spot is Ajishirahama Beach (網地白浜海水浴場), so keep your time here to strolling and tide-pooling.

Best time to visit

About 30 minutes. A good length for a short break before heading to Ajishirahama Beach.
