An outdoor leisure pool adjoining Yamagata City Comprehensive Sports Center (山形市総合スポーツセンター), open in 2026 from Sunday 5 July to Sunday 30 August (closed to visitors on some days for swimming meets and similar events). The centrepiece is the 50 m competition pool with nine lanes, giving anyone who wants a proper swim the real thing. The 130 m lazy river is a pleasure even if you simply drift on a ring, and it is a popular area for the whole family to unwind. For small children, the shallow toddlers' pool is reassuring. Spectator stands are provided, so families can take turns watching over the others while they play. Admission is affordable at 250 yen general, 150 yen for high school students and 100 yen for junior high age and under, and with changing rooms and showers in place it is an easy place to drop into.
