Uranonohama Beach in Yamada Town operates daily from 9 AM to 4 PM from July 18 (Saturday) through August 16 (Sunday) in 2026. In addition to parking for approximately 120 vehicles, the beach features restrooms, changing rooms, and warm water showers, making it convenient for families with small children. Surrounded by the gentle waves characteristic of the Sanriku Sea and abundant greenery, families can leisurely enjoy summer with activities ranging from water play at the water's edge to sand play. Make the most of your beach time until operations close at 4 PM.

Tips

It's convenient to drive from Michi no Eki Yamada (道の駅やまだ). Since operations end at 4 PM, we recommend wrapping up about 15 minutes early to allow time for changing and packing up. With changing rooms and warm water showers available, your return drive will be comfortable. When the sun is strong, it's reassuring to bring parasols or other sun protection.

Best time to visit

Between 12 PM and 3 PM, both air and water temperatures are at their highest, making it an ideal time for extended swimming.
