About this spot
A facility developed as a community hub for the Unosumai (鵜住居) district, housing eateries that use local seafood. Sanriku (三陸) specialities such as seafood rice bowls and set meals give the whole family plenty to choose from, ideal for a solid meal before your swim. A shop selling regional specialities is attached, so calling in after your meal is also recommended. It is a warm, welcoming rest stop where locals and visitors gather side by side.

釜石市鵜住居町にある根浜海岸海水浴場は、2026年は7月18日(土)から8月23日(日)まで開設されます。松林に抱かれた白砂の浜辺は波が穏やかで、家族連れがのんびり過ごすのにぴったりの雰囲気です。駐車場はバリアフリー対応で、更衣室や有料の温水シャワーも完備。隣接するキャンプ場やレストハウスでは休憩や食事もでき、1日通して快適に過ごせます。波打ち際での水遊びから砂遊びまで、三陸の澄んだ海を夕方まで思いきり楽しみましょう。

料金の詳細は現地または公式サイト(https://nebama-seaside.jp/)でご確認ください。温水シャワーは有料なので小銭の用意を。夏の砂浜は日差しが強いので、パラソルや帽子で日焼け対策をしっかりと。レストハウスやキャンプ場が隣接しているので、休憩をはさみながら過ごすと子どもも疲れにくくなります。
Tips
Within walking distance of Kamaishi Unosumai Memorial Stadium (釜石鵜住居復興スタジアム). It can be busy at lunchtime during the summer holidays, so arriving around 12:00 keeps things smooth. Take on plenty of nourishment, but take care not to overeat before swimming.
