About this spot

Nebama Beach (根浜海岸海水浴場), in Unosumaicho, Kamaishi City (釜石市鵜住居町), is open in 2026 from Saturday 18 July to Sunday 23 August. Cradled by pine woods, the white sand shore has gentle waves and just the right atmosphere for families to relax. Parking is barrier-free, and changing rooms and paid hot showers are fully provided. The adjoining campsite and rest house offer places to rest and eat, so you can stay comfortable all day. From splashing at the water's edge to playing in the sand, enjoy the clear Sanriku (三陸) sea to the full until evening.

The summer sun on the sand is strong, so protect against it properly with a parasol or a hat. With a rest house and campsite adjoining, breaking up the day with rests helps keep children from tiring.

From just after 13:00 the temperature rises and you can enjoy the sea right through to evening
