A castle site where the Hamada Han clan government was located during the Edo Period, now developed as a park featuring stone walls and hills. Though the main tower no longer stands, from the main enclosure ruins you can view the cityscape of Hamada and the Sea of Japan, getting a preview of the sea from an elevated vantage point before you arrive. The walking path surrounded by trees remains relatively cool even in summer, offering an ideal place for a light stroll and rest after lunch. It provides a touch of Ishimi regional history while serving as a refreshing break before sea bathing.

浜田市の石見海浜公園内に広がる海水浴場で、2026年は7月18日(土)から8月23日(日)まで開設されます。遊泳時間は9時から17時まで、遊泳料・駐車場ともに無料で楽しめる家族に優しいビーチです。シャワーとコインロッカーが完備されているほか、パラソルのレンタルもあるため手荷物を減らして身軽に過ごせます。ライフセーバーが常駐して見守ってくれるので、小さな子どもの水遊びも安心。すぐ隣にはしまね海洋館アクアスもあり、公園全体が1日遊べる海辺のレジャースポットになっています。波打ち際の水遊びから砂のお城づくりまで、夕方まで石見の海を満喫しましょう。

Tips

駐車場は無料ですが夏休みの週末は満車になりやすいので、早めの到着がおすすめです。シャワー・コインロッカーは完備されているものの数に限りがあるため、早い時間の利用が快適。パラソルは現地でレンタルできますが数に限りがあるので、持参できる場合は準備しておくと安心です。遊泳時間は17時までなので、着替えの時間を見込んで16時45分ごろには切り上げましょう。

Within walking distance from Hamada Station, with stone steps and slopes leading to the main enclosure ruins, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Keep your stay brief and allow ample travel time to Anegage Hamakaisuiyokujou.
