A swimming beach in Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture (愛知県常滑市), open in 2026 daily from 10:00 to 16:00 from Saturday 11 July to Monday 31 August. Swimming is free, and along with full changing rooms, showers and toilets there is a cafe and a barbecue area, plus free loan of life jackets, so families with small children can enjoy the sea with peace of mind. From splashing at the water's edge to building sandcastles, soak up the summer sea to the full right up to the 16:00 close.

Tips

Parking is 1,000 yen per day (500 yen from November to March). With changing rooms and showers on site, you can travel light with only a change of clothes. Swimming ends at 16:00, so allow time to change and wrap up about 15 minutes beforehand. If you plan to use the barbecue area, check the rules on bringing in equipment and ingredients in advance.
