About this spot

A day-trip hot spring facility representative of Oshima (大島), reachable on foot from Motomachi Port (元町港). Its appeal lies in waters unique to a volcanic island born of the eruptions of Mount Mihara (三原山), and both the indoor and open-air baths are built openly to face the sea. Stopping here right after arriving by ferry or jetfoil, at the very start of your trip, will ease away the fatigue of the journey. There is also a rest area inside, making it an ideal stretch of time for getting ready for the day ahead. The facilities are well equipped for families with children.

Tips

Access from Motomachi Port (元町港) is convenient. Towels can be rented, but bringing enough for the whole family is reassuring. Early morning is relatively quiet, so you can take your time.
