With wide lawns and continuous flower beds, the grounds feel wonderfully open, so children can wander around safely. The cafe inside serves light meals and drinks, making it just the right rest stop for lunch before your swim. It is also easy to browse for souvenirs such as camellia-oil products, and a place to build up your energy at a relaxed pace for the afternoon at the beach.

元町港のすぐそばに広がる、大島町元町・弘法浜に位置する海水浴場です。2026年は7月18日(土)から8月16日(日)まで開設され、遊泳時間は9時から16時まで。港から歩いてアクセスできる立地の良さと、伊豆大島ならではの澄んだ海が魅力で、島に渡ってすぐに海遊びを楽しめます。遊泳は無料。波打ち際での水遊びから砂浜でのひと休みまで、家族それぞれのペースで夏の島時間を満喫できます。
Tips
元町港から徒歩でアクセス可能。遊泳時間は16時までなので、着替えの時間も見込んで15分前には切り上げるのがおすすめです。設備の詳細は事前に最新情報を確認しておくと安心です。夏の砂浜は熱くなるのでビーチサンダルが役立ちます。
Tips
About 15 minutes by car from the Motomachi (元町) direction. There is little shade inside the grounds, so having a hat and drinks ready is reassuring. The cafe gets busy at certain hours, so going in early is recommended.
