A museum conveying the experiences of the Himeyuri Student Corps (ひめゆり学徒隊), mobilized during the Battle of Okinawa. Located a short distance from the Okinawa Prefectural Peace Memorial Park (沖縄県平和祈念公園), it lets you learn the reality of the battle through documents and video testimony from the time. Since the exhibits convey the tragedy of war, when visiting with small children it is best to adjust how long you stay while watching the mood of the exhibition rooms. It is a place that can spark a family conversation about peace.

沖縄県糸満市に位置する名城ビーチは、2026年は3月13日(金)から11月30日(月)までの長いシーズンで開設されます。青く澄んだ海と白い砂浜が広がり、糸満の街から車で気軽に訪れることができるビーチです。午前中に歴史を学び、お昼をしっかり食べたあとは、いよいよこのビーチが1日のクライマックス。波打ち際での水遊びから砂浜での砂遊びまで、夕方までたっぷり沖縄の海を満喫できます。長いシーズン中は季節ごとに異なる表情を見せてくれるのも魅力です。
Tips
料金や設備の詳細は時期によって変わることがあるため、訪問前に最新情報を確認しておくと安心です。日差しが強いので日焼け止めと帽子は必携。夏の砂浜は素足では熱いことがあるので、ビーチサンダルがあると安心です。
