About this spot

A museum conveying the experiences of the Himeyuri Student Corps (ひめゆり学徒隊), mobilized during the Battle of Okinawa. Located a short distance from the Okinawa Prefectural Peace Memorial Park (沖縄県平和祈念公園), it lets you learn the reality of the battle through documents and video testimony from the time. Since the exhibits convey the tragedy of war, when visiting with small children it is best to adjust how long you stay while watching the mood of the exhibition rooms. It is a place that can spark a family conversation about peace.

A few minutes by car from the Peace Memorial Park (平和祈念公園). Photography is restricted in some areas inside, so follow the posted signs. Admission fees and opening hours may change, so checking the official information before visiting is recommended.
