An artificial beach in Mihama, Chatan Town, open in 2026 from Friday, April 10 to Monday, November 30. Hours are from 9:00 to 18:00 (varying by season). The shallow sand with gentle waves makes swimming reassuring even with small children. Along with a management office, restrooms, showers and lockers, there is also a barbecue area, so the family can enjoy a barbecue between swims. True to its name, in the evening you can watch a beautiful sun sink into the sea: this is the beach that represents Chatan Town.

Tips
It is within walking distance of Mihama American Village (美浜アメリカンビレッジ), so access is easy. Showers and lockers may charge a fee, so having small change ready is reassuring. Summer sand gets extremely hot during the day, so beach sandals are essential. Closing is at 18:00, so allow time to change and wrap up with room to spare.
Best time to visit
From the 1 o'clock hour onward the afternoon sun is steady, making it a time slot when you can swim plenty until evening
