Rest at Toyokouen Park by Lake Biwa while admiring the castle keep

A history museum reconstructed in the image of Nagahama Castle associated with Toyotomi Hideyoshi, with its castle keep overlooking Lake Biwa creating a photogenic spot combined with the lake scenery. Inside the museum, exhibits allow visitors to easily learn about Nagahama's history, and from the observation floor on the top floor, you can view both Lake Biwa and Mount Ibuki. The surrounding area is developed as Toyokouen Park with a grassy plaza and many benches, so after viewing the museum, you can spend a leisurely time while overlooking the lake. Spreading out a packed lunch in the park before the pool is also recommended.

長浜市民プールは、2026年は7月4日(土)から8月30日(日)まで営業する屋外レジャープールです(7月17日までは7/4・5・11・12のみの開場で、7月18日からは毎日開場)。全長140mの流水プールはぷかぷかと浮き輪で流されるだけでも楽しく、2本のウォータースライダーはスリル満点。小さな子には浅い幼児プールが安心で、25mプール(8コース)もあるのでしっかり泳ぎたい子どもや大人も満足できます。駐車場は230台分と広く、車でのアクセスもしやすい施設です。お昼から夕方までたっぷり水遊びを楽しめる、夏の定番スポットです。

Tips

料金は大人(市内在住)800円・大人(市外)1,000円、中学生以下400円、3歳未満は無料です。営業時間は9:45〜16:00ですが、平日は15:00終了となるため、平日に訪れる場合は早めの入場がおすすめです。日焼け対策と休憩用のタオルは多めに用意しておくと安心です。
