About this spot

A beach facing the Japan Sea in Hashidate Town, Kaga City, opening from July 18 to August 23, 2026, with swimming hours from 9 AM to 4 PM. Indoor changing rooms and hot water showers are equipped, and public restrooms and floating ring rentals are available, so families with small children need not worry about getting changed. Using the beach house, adults can use the changing room and hot water shower for 1,000 yen and children for 500 yen, allowing refreshment after swimming in the ocean. After exploring the Kitamae Ship heritage site, this is a beach where you can fully enjoy the spacious Japan Sea.

Tips

About 5 minutes by car from the Kitamae Ship Heritage Museum and Kura-Rokuen. Facility use is paid (1,000 yen for adults, 500 yen for children), so check in at the beach house before entering the water for peace of mind. Swimming hours end at 4 PM, so plan to wrap up around 3:45 PM accounting for changing time. Floating ring rentals are available if you want to reduce luggage.

Best time to visit

Afternoon from 1 PM onwards has stable sunlight, offering plenty of time to swim until evening.
