Shinobu Mountain, located at the center of Fukushima city, is a verdant park beloved by residents. Within the mountain stands Fukushima Gokoku Shrine, and simply walking down its quiet cedar-lined approach path leaves you feeling refreshed. Climb to the observation deck near the summit and a wide-open vista unfolds, overlooking Fukushima city and the Azuma Mountains—perfect for a morning walk in the cool, crisp air. The walking trail is well-maintained, so you can walk comfortably even with young children. A light workout at the start of the day makes the pool time even more enjoyable later.

福島市中央市民プールは、2026年は7月4日(土)から8月23日(日)まで営業する市営の屋外レジャープールです。50mプールと25mプールの2つを備え、しっかり泳ぎたい人からゆったり水遊びを楽しみたい家族連れまで幅広く利用できます。料金は一般200円・高校生100円・中学生以下60円と手頃で、6枚綴りの回数券もあるため何度も通いやすいのが魅力です。子供プールやウォータースライダーはありませんが、その分落ち着いた雰囲気の中でプール本来の水遊びを楽しめます。営業は9:30〜11:30・12:30〜14:30・15:00〜17:00の入れ替え制で、このコースでは開場直後の第1部でしっかり体を動かします。7月10日から8月16日まではナイター営業(18:00〜20:00)も行われるので、日中は別の予定があるご家庭は夜の時間帯を選ぶこともできます。
Tips
入れ替え制のため、開場の9:30に合わせて到着すると余裕を持って入場できます。回数券を使う場合は現金での購入が基本なので事前に用意しておくと安心です。子供プールやスライダーはないので、事前に子どもへその点を伝えておくとスムーズです。タオルや飲み物は各自持参し、休憩スペースで水分補給をこまめにしましょう。
Tips
Parking lots are scattered at several locations; the lot near Hagoromo Shrine is closest to the observation deck. The morning is cool with few crowds, ideal for photography. Wear comfortable walking shoes.
Best time to visit
Approximately 30–40 minutes. Recommended before 8 a.m., before temperatures rise.
