Fukushima City Small Bird Forest is a nature park that retains lush greenery despite its proximity to the city center. Well-maintained walking paths wind through the forest where you can hear various birds throughout the seasons. The thick tree cover keeps it relatively cool even in summer—a wonderful advantage. An exhibition hall explains the forest and wildlife, making it ideal for walks with children developing an interest in nature. Close to Shinobu Mountain Park, it pairs easily as part of a morning exploration route.

福島市中央市民プールは、2026年は7月4日(土)から8月23日(日)まで営業する市営の屋外レジャープールです。50mプールと25mプールの2つを備え、しっかり泳ぎたい人からゆったり水遊びを楽しみたい家族連れまで幅広く利用できます。料金は一般200円・高校生100円・中学生以下60円と手頃で、6枚綴りの回数券もあるため何度も通いやすいのが魅力です。子供プールやウォータースライダーはありませんが、その分落ち着いた雰囲気の中でプール本来の水遊びを楽しめます。営業は9:30〜11:30・12:30〜14:30・15:00〜17:00の入れ替え制で、このコースでは開場直後の第1部でしっかり体を動かします。7月10日から8月16日まではナイター営業(18:00〜20:00)も行われるので、日中は別の予定があるご家庭は夜の時間帯を選ぶこともできます。

Tips

入れ替え制のため、開場の9:30に合わせて到着すると余裕を持って入場できます。回数券を使う場合は現金での購入が基本なので事前に用意しておくと安心です。子供プールやスライダーはないので、事前に子どもへその点を伝えておくとスムーズです。タオルや飲み物は各自持参し、休憩スペースで水分補給をこまめにしましょう。

The walking paths have some ups and downs, so wear comfortable shoes. Insect repellent spray is helpful. Plan to spend about 30 minutes here before heading to the pool.
