About this spot

A park spread across a hilltop overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Juo-cho, Hitachi City. The observation plaza offers views of the sea stretching to the horizon, building anticipation for the trip to Ishihama ahead. With a spacious lawn plaza, a petting animal plaza, and a display of a steam locomotive, the park is uncrowded in the early morning, allowing families with small children to relax. It's a great place for the family to move their bodies as a warm-up before heading to the sea.

Tips

Parking is available, making it convenient to stop by car. The observation plaza has little shade, so don't forget a hat and to stay hydrated even in the morning. The lawn has some unevenness, so a baby carrier may be easier to move around with than a stroller.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour. Around 10am, right after opening, is uncrowded and comfortable.
