Next stop: Enjoy swimming at one of Iki Island's premier shallow-water beaches until eveningAbout this spot
One of Iki Island's representative scenic spots—six small Jizo statues appear to float in the sea at high tide, creating a scene of quiet seaside charm unique to the island. Resting while overlooking the nearby fishing village and having lunch before swimming allows afternoon beach play to be more focused.
Tips
The statues' appearance changes with tides, so knowing low tide times helps with viewing. Finishing a light meal nearby before heading to the beach lets you make better use of afternoon hours.
Best time to visit
About 45 minutes (including meal time). Statues are most visible near low tide.
