This beach at Bentenjima Kaihin Park in Chuo-ku, Hamamatsu City, is open in 2026 from Sunday, July 19 to Monday, August 31, between 9am and 4pm. The gently sloping, calm-watered beach has lifeguards on duty, so families with small children can enjoy the water safely. Changing rooms, showers, and restrooms are all available, and about 300 parking spaces make arriving by car easy too. Swimming itself is free, and paid lockers are available if you'd like to store your belongings. The vermilion great torii gate, the symbol of Bentenjima, is visible nearby, letting you wrap up a summer day amid scenery unique to Lake Hamana, where lake and sea meet.

Parking costs 410 yen per visit, and lockers cost 100 yen. Swimming hours end at 4pm, so it's recommended to wrap up about 15 minutes early to allow time to change. With changing rooms, showers, and restrooms all available, you won't have trouble getting ready even on a day trip.
