About this spot
An area near Dofutsu Strait in Tonosho Honcho with narrow alleyways called "Maze Town," said to have been deliberately winding for defense purposes. Cafes, restaurants, and souvenir shops dot the alleys, making it perfect to explore and grab lunch. Each turn in the narrow lanes reveals a different view, and children enjoy the sense of exploration. After filling your belly, head to the olive fields and sea in the afternoon.

土庄町にある海水浴場で、2026年は7月18日(土)から8月30日(日)まで開設されます。すぐそばの小島・鹿島に守られた入り江に位置し、波が穏やかで小さな子ども連れでも安心して水遊びができるのが魅力です。遊泳は無料で、夏期のみ海の家や更衣室、冷水シャワーが利用できます(いずれも有料)。駐車場も夏期のみ有料で開設されるので、車で訪れる家族連れにも便利です。トイレも整備されており、1日ゆっくり過ごせる海水浴場です。
Tips
海の家や更衣室、冷水シャワー、駐車場はいずれも夏期のみの有料利用です。小銭を用意しておくとスムーズ。日差しを避けるパラソルやテントがあると、休憩しながら長く楽しめます。
Tips
A short walk from Dofutsu Strait. The alleys are winding, but if you get lost, don't worry—just follow the direction signs and you'll return to the main street. Having a baby carrier is helpful since some alleys are too narrow for strollers.
Best time to visit
About 1 hour. Coming around noon is recommended for easier seating, especially if you arrive by 12 p.m.
