A small fishing port in Mitoyo City Nio Town where ferries to Tsutajima Beach depart and arrive. Several restaurants are scattered around the port area. Since Tsutajima has no shops, it's recommended to prepare lunch and drinks here before boarding the ferry. From the port, you can see the calm Seto Inland Sea and the silhouette of Tsutajima, naturally building excitement for the beach outing. The ferry registration is also at this port, so arrive with time to spare.
Tips
Ferry fare is 600 yen (round trip) for adults and 300 yen for children—best paid in cash. Stock up on drinks and snacks around the port. It's sunny, so rest in the shade while waiting for the ferry.
Best time to visit
About 40 minutes. For the afternoon ferry, having lunch around noon is recommended.
