About this spot

A unique initiative begun in 1989 under the concept of treating the Pacific horizon as a picture frame and this entire coast as a museum. Rather than paintings lined up inside a building, the idea that the sand and the pine grove themselves are the exhibition space is fascinating, and it is a spot where you can walk and talk with your children about what a museum really is. The indoor facilities also introduce local initiatives and past activities. Stopping by before your swim heightens anticipation for the seaside time ahead.

Tips

It is very close to Irino Beach (入野海水浴場), and you can walk back and forth along the paths through the pine grove. Viewing is mainly outdoors, so do not forget a hat and hydration as protection against the summer sun.

Best time to visit

About 45 minutes. Stopping by in the morning before your swim keeps the day flowing smoothly
