Located steps from Ube Shrine, this museum introduces the history and culture of Inaba Province when Otomo no Yakamochi, a famous Manyoshu poet, served as governor. In addition to Manyoshu-related displays and videos, there's a corner where visitors can try on historical clothing, allowing children to experience history playfully. The air-conditioned interior makes it an ideal spot to rest and learn before the heat builds up.
Tips
Walking distance from Ube Shrine. Photography is allowed in some areas, great for memories. The gift shop offers local souvenirs worth exploring.
