The Kurogaseeto Bridge connecting Akune City and Nagashima Island is a red bridge spanning the Kurogaseeto Strait, one of Japan's three major tidal currents. Beneath the bridge, you can watch the swift tidal currents swirling in whirlpools, feeling the power of the sea up close. The area at the foot of the bridge is developed as a park, with just the right amount of space to park and enjoy the scenery. Not far from Wakimoto Beach, it's an easy stop-off point for starting your day. Experience the seascape unique to Akune, surrounded by the ocean.

鹿児島県阿久根市にある脇本海水浴場は、2026年は7月4日(土)から8月31日(月)まで、8時30分から17時まで開設される地元で親しまれているビーチです。駐車場は50台分が無料で用意され、トイレや海の家もそろっているので、家族連れでも準備しやすいのが魅力。午前中に阿久根の見どころをめぐったあとの午後は、いよいよ海が主役の時間です。波打ち際での水遊びから砂浜での砂遊びまで、夕方まで思いきり楽しめます。
Tips
駐車場は無料で50台分。トイレと海の家があるので、着替えや休憩の場所には困りません。営業終了は17時までなので、着替えの時間を見込んで16時45分頃には切り上げるのがおすすめです。料金の詳細は現地の案内表示に従ってください。
Tips
Parking spaces available at the park at the foot of the bridge. The bridge has a pedestrian walkway, but with heavy car traffic, keep children's hands firmly held. The tidal current changes appearance depending on high tide and low tide times.
Best time to visit
Approximately 45 minutes. Early morning is relatively quiet, allowing time to slowly enjoy the scenery.
