A beach in Kagoshima City's Iso district, open from July 10 (Friday) to August 31 (Monday) 2026, 10 AM to 6 PM. The greatest appeal is swimming in Kinko Bay with Sakurajima directly before you. Swimming while gazing at Sakurajima with its volcanic smoke is an experience unique to Kagoshima. The beach house is open 24/7 year-round, with showers, changing rooms, and lockers fully equipped, so families with small children have minimal worries about luggage and clothing. Not far from Sengan Garden, it's ideal for enjoying both historical exploration and swimming in one day.

Tips
Showers cost ¥100 for 5 minutes (cold or warm water); changing rooms and lockers are free. With closing at 6 PM, wrap up around 5:45 PM to allow time for changing. Summer sand is hot—beach sandals are essential.
Best time to visit
After 2 PM, the sun's intensity eases slightly, and you can swim fully until 6 PM closing.
