The museum displays recorded footage and materials from the 2000 Mount Usu eruption, allowing visitors to understand the region's history of coexisting with volcanic activity. There are also exhibits about flora and fauna around Lake Toya; studying before the afternoon ropeway tour deepens your appreciation of the scenery. Located in the center of the hot spring town, it's just a short walk from the boat pier.
