Enshrined in Ichinomiya, Fuefuki City, this shrine has long drawn devotion as the Ichinomiya (leading shrine) of Kai Province. The spacious, tree-lined grounds are quiet and refreshing, and simply walking the approach path settles the mind. The enshrined deity is Konohanasakuya-hime, and the shrine is also known for its deep ties to the region's bountiful fruit orchards. It's a fitting place to stop before the fireworks festival to pray for a safe day and for new summer memories to come. The grounds are compact, so families with small children can visit without difficulty.
Tips
About 15 minutes by car from Isawa Onsen Station. Parking is available near the grounds. On the day of the fireworks festival, the surrounding roads begin to get crowded from the afternoon, so an early visit is recommended. It's about 15 minutes by car to the next stop, Fuefukigawa Fruit Park.
