The Building Itself Is Art—Family Adventure Through Distinctive Spaces

About this spot

A unique contemporary art museum designed by renowned architect Isozaki Arata, where the building itself becomes an artwork. The three exhibition rooms, themed around sun, earth, and moon, each have different forms with lighting and spatial design integrated as part of the artistic work. Rather than difficult contemporary art, it's more like exploring a mysteriously-shaped building—enjoyable for the whole family. The outdoor view of the building's form means even young children who find the indoor experience challenging can enjoy it. The white architecture that suddenly appears amid Nagi Town's pastoral landscape is also a popular photography spot.
