A massive ginkgo tree designated as a national natural monument, standing in the grounds of Bodaiji Temple at the foot of Mount Nagi. The tree is said to be over 1,000 years old, and its trunk thickness and branch spread are truly worth seeing. In summer, dense green foliage spreads across the sky, and the shade is surprisingly cool—perfect for a rest in the quiet mountain air. This sacred tree, long cherished by local people, radiates powerful life force that you can feel up close. It's also known for turning golden in autumn, making it a natural symbol representative of Nagi Town.

2026年7月22日(水)開催、陸上自衛隊日本原駐屯地の武蔵館前を会場にした納涼大会です。18時の開場から自衛隊ならではの車両展示や模擬店でにぎわい、地元の人々でにぎわう夏祭りの雰囲気を楽しめます。夕食は会場内の模擬店で調達しながら、夜が更けるのを待ちましょう。フィナーレには花火が打ち上がり、那岐山のふもとの夜空を彩ります。基地の中で過ごす夏祭りという非日常感は、他の花火大会にはない特別な体験になります。
Tips
基地内へは指定された入場口から入場し、係員の案内に従いましょう。荒天時は中止となる場合があるため、当日の開催可否は事前に確認を。終了後は駐屯地周辺の道が混み合うため、少し時間を置いてからの退場がおすすめです。
Tips
About 15 minutes by car from Nagi Town Contemporary Art Museum. There's a slight incline to the temple grounds, so comfortable shoes are recommended. Many insects in summer, so insect repellent is helpful. About 15 minutes by car to the next destination, Aegaia Nagi.
Best time to visit
Approximately 30 minutes. The afternoon with dappled sunlight is especially recommended.
