Held on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, this is a summer evening festival at the venue in front of Musashikan at the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force's Nihonbara Camp (陸上自衛隊日本原駐屯地). From the 18:00 gate opening, it's lively with Self-Defense Force-exclusive vehicle exhibits and food stalls, letting you enjoy the summer festival atmosphere bustling with local residents. Pick up dinner from the food stalls at the venue while waiting for night to fall. As the finale, fireworks are launched, coloring the night sky at the foot of Mount Nagi (那岐山). The out-of-the-ordinary feeling of spending a summer festival inside a military base is a special experience you won't find at other fireworks festivals.

Enter the base through the designated entrance and follow staff instructions. The event may be cancelled in case of severe weather, so check in advance whether it will be held on the day. Roads around the camp get crowded after the event ends, so it's recommended to wait a bit before leaving.

Best time to visit

Time your visit to the event hours of 18:00-20:30. The finale fireworks launch sometime after 20:00.
