About this spot

An interactive facility right next to the Saigū Ruins where you can learn about the world of the Heian-period Saigū through play. The highlight is the costume trial corner where you can try on junihitoe (twelve-layered robes), hunting robes, and other aristocratic garments—families can dress in Heian costumes and take memorable photos together. There are also activity corners where you can experience games played during that era, so even children who aren't into history can enjoy themselves without getting bored. The air-conditioned interior is also valuable during hot summer hours. By visiting this hall along with the Saigū Ruins and museum, the Heian period feels much more accessible.

2026年7月25日(土)開催、明和町の夏を彩る大淀祇園祭と花火大会のクライマックスです。19時30分から21時30分ごろまで、約6,000発の花火が伊勢湾に面した夜空を次々と彩ります。海に近い会場ならではの開放的な視界で、大輪の花火を遮るものなくゆったり楽しめるのが魅力です。祇園祭にあわせた花火大会らしく、地域に根ざした温かい雰囲気の中でフィナーレを迎えます。斎宮の歴史散歩から始まった1日の締めくくりにふさわしい、夏の夜空の贈り物です。

Tips

荒天時は中止・順延の可能性があるため、当日の開催可否は明和町の公式発表で確認を。終了後は周辺道路・駐車場が混雑するため、少し余韻を楽しんでから帰路につくのがおすすめです。足元が暗いのでスマホのライトなどがあると安心です。
