About this spot
A museum dedicated to drift ice, located on the summit of Tentoyama overlooking Abashiri's cityscape. The below-freezing experience room allows you to touch real drift ice, and displays of sea angels (krill) are also popular. The observation deck provides sweeping views of the Okhotsk Sea, Abashiri's city center, and surrounding lakes and ponds—a rare spot where you can experience the mysteries of winter even in summer.

荒天時は中止または延期となる場合があるため、当日の開催可否は事前に確認しましょう。打ち上げ数が多く終了後は大変混雑するため、会場で少し余韻を楽しんでからの時間差帰宅がおすすめです。
Tips
About 15 minutes by car from Abashiri Station. Bring a cardigan or light jacket; the experience room is quite chilly even in summer. Observation views extend farthest on clear days.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. Afternoon offers clear air and excellent observation deck views.
